Just started writing for a two-piece, dance-y, heavy garage rock thing. Feeling great.

Hopefully I'll be buying a car in the next few days. And I have a road test scheduled on the 20th.

So, hopefully I can surprise Kate when she comes home by driving down to her place, in hopefully my own car.

Got home to my parents' for christmas, I got to play bass and double bass for the first time in months! Holy shiit it was fun. The Fuck and Twosome I got recently are AMAZING on bass, and having a pickup for my double bass is so cool! Plus I got another job application done, yay.

I bought a car. I have to pick it up tomorrow, because I didn't have the check cashed yet, but yeah.

Now i just have to pass my road test on Thursday.

iiiiii.... had to take the test twice when i was a kicken. i got in a horrible habit of going VRARRRRR when i accelerated and URrrrRRRR-GRAHHHH when i turned. or slowed down. SOUND EFFECTS.

after the test dooder told me, "you were REALLY close to passing. but i marked you down because i don't think you're taking this seriously enough or paying attention.". sooooo... had to wait a few weeks then shut the fuck up to take it again. kinda... hurt. deep inside. where i'm soft like a woman.

kinda cool thing is i had a seizure (kinda a leftover from a pretty severe beating i got about a year before that) between the failed and the passed tests, so since i wasn't licensed they didn't have to report that i had a seizure to dmv. i guess there's some horrifically long and arduous process to try to prove to them that you won't have a seizure again. when sometimes people have them and doctors are stumped enough not to be able to conclusively say that. WHOOOO. dodged that butt buggerer of a bullet.

Bro, I think we're the same person.

F'REALZ THO. i stopped for a hinute so i could pass the test, but i spend a LOT of time alone. that habit has creeped back over the years.

I make a lot of sound effects when I'm working. Lots of "whoop"s and "bam"s and "b'ow"s.
