I should probably feel bad for writing FNM off, but watching Epic on MTV made me never want to listen to them again.

None of these people rock as hard as Eagle Eye Cherry.

yah, i got to see FNM before they blew up at that stadium show with Metallica, at a medium sized club in SF before they broke up (one of the few bands that called it quits that made me sad), but i passed on the reunion shows they played. i had a chance to go to one, but seeing Muse a few months before made me realllllly not want to see any bigger bands live. haven't gone to any Bigger Than Local shows since actually, or really listened to any of the Muse albums i liked. gawd Muse sucks live.

was afraid to tarnish the beautiful memories i had of FNM live. it's the Robocop Principal, applied to music instead of movies.

i've met Billy Gould a few times (had a friend that was signed to his label) and i barely spoke to him. he seems a super nice guy, but he's one of my favorite bassists EVER.... makes it hard for me to actually say words to somebody like that.

I wonder if it's that the music is SO complex or something that it doesn't allow for a lot of variations that a live performance sometimes has; way back in the day, I was ALL excited to see Supertramp on the 'Breakfast In America' tour...and I may as well have stayed home and listened to the albums (Crime Of The Century and Breakfast...) since that was the the show was all about; doing those two albums on stage with ZERO deviations. I read later that the band wasn't really happy with touring in general for the same reason...they felt that there wasn't a lot of room to mess with in the music while on stage. There was mention of a huge admiration for Pink Floyd's live shows 'cause Floyd was able to break out of the album mold on stage and yet still present the music in a true-to-itself fashion.

I've never seen Motorhead and it's something I've wanted to do for a while but for whatever reason haven't done it yet. I need to work on that.

WHAAAAT??!! WHERE? WHEN?

I got to see both Motörhead and Anthrax last year, and they were kickass shows. That quadruple bill sounds unstoppable!

I would KILL to see Muse or Faith No More live. KILL. Faith No More is one of the most influential bands I've ever listened to. Even though Patton is a pretentious douche rocket, I still dig the shit out of them.

I have seen Slayer live and it was meh. I mean it's Slayer, so it was cool, but I'm kind of over that kind of music. The last like 4 albums Slayer has put out have been fucking awful. It's just the same old same old. I get it motherfuckers. You hate God and like the devil. Whatever.

The best album Slayer did IMO opinion was their cover album Undisputed Attitude. All punk covers and all fucking amazing. IMO again.

Yah, Patton is most assuredly pretty dick-headyyy and quite the character.

Fantomas and Mr Bungle were awesome, but I REALLY loved Peeping Tom
