What is with all these pedals releases? What are you guys in Amerrica celebrating in the next weeks?

Well, it used to be the next "sale event" adter Labor Day was Columbus Day in early - mid-October, but that's no longer cool, so...music merchants will probably move to "Rocktoberfest"

I like the Volante a lot but the NightSky is going to need some convincing demos to avoid the stink of P&W or new age hippie shit.

In South Korea they’ve got Chuseok at the end of the month. But I doubt that’s influencing music gear releases in the US

the High Holy Days are coming up, so we can all repent for the bad things we've done to equipment for Yom Kippur

I saw that “preorder” price from some Italian website, but pretty sure that site is like an Italian Reverb of sorts, so I’d be surprised if that price is accurate. If it is, the P&W bros will be asking for the collection plate to go around a second time...

Vangelis, “Creation du Monde,” 1973. This is an interesting example of a home-brewed modulated reverb. Vangelis used 3 Roland Space Echos in series, processing a Hammond organ and Clavinet, to get the huge spacey sounds in this track. The old Space Echos (and other tape echos) tended to have a fair amount of wow and flutter, due to imperfections in the tape, slipping and sticking of the capstan, and so on. By applying feedback in a single tape echo, the result is a modulated echo sound, where the amount of modulation increases with each passthrough of the system. Run three of these in series, and the result is a LOT of pitch modulation.

I think it's the new work from home thing. Businesses were worried that productivity would fall through the floor, but shocker of all shocker...people are desperately clinging to their jobs and are stuck at home so they are working more...and productivity is through the roof.

I don't see any reason to buy this over the Atmosphere or Rooms. Unless you really like sequenced filter-verb.

Agreed, the demos they released with it don't sound very good imo.
