I bought the sk1 on ebay, I was kinda drunk, I totally forgot it for days, imagine my "surprise" when I had the "We sent you the SK1 today".
Probably one of the best thing I bought last year !

I love drunk ebay purchases.
I borrowed an old bandmate's SK1 for a long time and loved it. There is endless fun in that thing!

I have a Korg R3, you can usually find them for $100-$150 more than you'd pay for a Micron/Miniak/Microkorg. Totally worth it, it's definitely one of the best things in that size group. I've owned the Micron, the Microkorg, and the Novation K Station, and I like it better than any of them now that I've gotten to know my way around it. It doesn't have drum kits like the Micron, but I have other things that are way better for that. The stock sounds are not that great, but I recently downloaded and installed a whole bunch of new sounds for it from korgforums.com, and there is some really nice stuff to be had, including plenty of Microkorg, MS2000/MS2000B and Radias patches. The Korg Germany collection is also top notch, way better than the Korg USA expansion pack.

I've been running it into an Echoplex EP-3 and a Strymon BlueSky and loving it.

How much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking??? I am looking into getting one. My first synth!

The little phatty has an arpeggiator, and I think you can use OSC. 2 as a modulation source. It's also got like a billion presets. I have both, but I haven't fucked with the little phatty in a long time. Other people I play with use it quite a bit.

For the modular fans...

I wanted to fit two Box11 boxes together. Synthesizers.com sells wood side pieces for the Box 11, but $65/pair (straight) or $95/pair (angled) times two seems pretty steep.
Hit up Home Depot, got two 12"x12" joints, pack of nuts/bolts, and metal drill bit. Total cost about $20. I THINK IT WILL WORK. :omg:
