My friend and I theorized earlier that the dudes in Sunn are actually wearing Snuggies to reduce the cost of touring, and that's also why they use so many fog machines. Gotta keep it on the down-low.

Sunnies?

I'm 98% positive that the Melvins have been touring in Proto-Snuggies for years.

I had a dream D.o.S. was at my house. You and I and two chicks were laying on my bed (which was shaped like a pool table) and we were eating dinner. & eating dinner was totally acceptable while laying down. You were eating hard boiled eggs, shells and all. I imagined you as a muscular dude with strong features and semi-dreaded hair, but not like ripped. Just big. Which is weird considering I don't know what you look like at all. Which is really weird because how did I know it was you? Iunno man, it just felt like it.

All four of us were laughing and having a good time. & then we went to jam. I think the reason you were at my house was you were dropping off that 2x15 you have for sale

That might be the best character endorsement I've ever received from anyone, ever. :thumb:

I just got such an awesome idea holy shit
I just tuned my guitar to DDddaa

fucking rythmic noise
setting two delays to a polyrhythm
and started beating the shit out of the muted strings
stacked drums for days
crazy sounding melodies with those top four strings together
dear god
i wanna get two delays with BPM meters
and a looper
and a shittier guitar i can beat the shit out of
fucking drum circles
sonic youth style
holy crap
i feel like i have "good" ideas all ther time
and NEVER follow through on them
well fuck that
this time I am
because it feels amazing doing this
i always like to move and dance
and drones
and noise
cmon i cant not do this
im sorry this is eneding up here
but i feel like you guys might understand
woo woo woo woo

get some screwdrivers and Allen wrenches and a pair of soft drum mallets. you can use the screwdrivers as artificial bridges and to bow the strings; the allen wrenches are good for artificial bridges. you know what to do with the mallets.

another cool trick is to use a slide as a tall artificial bridge and tune the strings fairly slack; you can bend behind the artificial bridge and do huge broad bends like a koto.

I love doing this! If only there were more strings available...
Been thinking about making a simple lap steel with like...9 strings, beginning in the bass range, and with sympathetic strings, too. But I dunno how yet. lul.
