I just mean it sucks even by rchp standards. i feel like its success is probably due to the band being popular at the time, not the quality of the song.
sorry if I seem ranty but i've always hated rhcp and couldn't escape hearing them all the time for a good part of my teenage years.

I'm in the wrong thread, please show me to the "Completely true and sensible music opinion thread" so I can post my RHCP disdain there.
Well, like I said,

So except for one song, we see eye to eye.
But I stand by what I said about Dani California.

I once saw Mars Volta and Queens of the Stone Age open for the RHCP. Queens were good. Everything else sucked. My ex-wife liked it.

To me, that song just seems to sum up how and why they suck, so what you're saying does not compute with me

plus, I'll never pass up an opportunity to moan about them.

The fuzzed out bass riff opening the album gets me pumped, even if Anthony K ruins it immediately after. But otherside is banging, and there is some legitimately beautiful shit going on between John and Flea on some of the mellower songs.
But then again, I've been known to have shit taste in music, so...

Unpopular opinion of the day: the only good thing about Jane Doe is the album art.

People seem to be losing their heads over the new Manchester Orchestra album and I do not get it.

Do guess spots count? Because he did a lot of guitar work for Mars Volta.

I think he played all the guitars on Amputechture.
