No feedback on SL form...different gym. I really should take some quick vids of the squat and DL for you to check out. I don't think it's terrible, but I'm sure my deadlift form gets a bit ugly with heavy weight.

Shit yeah 3 plate deadlifts! :omg: Just wait til you hit 3 plate squats, you'll feel on cloud 9.

First day back in the gym since before I went away for Christmas. I originally intended for it just to be a rest week but then I wound up traveling almost nonstop for 2 and a half weeks. Damn.

ANYWAY

Bench went down 10 lbs but incline DB press went up 10 and tricep pushdown went up 15. Rest weeks are weird, mang.

Thanks man. It felt like a "big boy" lift. I can't imagine squatting 3 plates, that's serious business.

Rest weeks are definitely weird but I think they're good every couple months or so, at least for me, to let my body re-set and recover. I usually take a complete pass and totally abuse my liver and lungs.

Thanks man, felt good. Weird that I thought about videoing it for some internet dudes I've never met? :wha?:

Quit wrestling with dudes. :poke:

I kid. Rib injuries take forever to heal from experience. I ate shit on a mountain bike ride in October and jammed a broken tree branch right into my side. Pretty sure I cracked a rib cuz it took nearly two months to feel "normal." I was able to just push through it though so it was relatively minor, hurt like a mofo for a while but I'm a pussy. Still have scars on my butt which the wife loves (not).

you're not making it easy man

google "convict conditioning" and look at the pictures. pushups, pullups (from under a table or something i guess) and one legged squats and what have you. some guys on earlier pages mentioned "you are your own gym" or something like that.

usually people don't really get into it enough when they try what you're looking at and end up getting nowhere. heck, i've only managed to workout at moast 10 times in my life at home, if even that.

"Convict Conditioning"!

it reminds me of a conversation i had with a guy once and he told me his brother never went to the gym, and was built like a tank, he referred to his routine as "Prison Weights"...i asked him..."is that something he does at home?"...he replied..."No, his in Prison..."

anyway, i looked it up, thats exactly the stuff i was looking for. I know what you mean about training at home, it doesn't have the same energy. But i wanted to do it for a while and build myself up and then i can go to a local Crossfit club. In the shape I'm in, which is ok from cardio perspective but not strength, i'd die in those classes.

Good news: Cleared a 4 plate deadlift today!

Bad news: like an overeager kid on prom night I forced it a little too much and fucked up my back. Can't sleep because of it. Good-bye, gains. :mope:

Why you guys gotta make me look like a chump? :grumpy:

Kidding...that's huge! Sorry about your back man that sucks. Hope it heals fast. I've not had any luck with chiros but PT was very helpful when my back shit the bed.

Hang Clean 6 x 3 today, with last set being 175# (full cleans here, none of that power shit)

265# Dead Lifts in the workout mixed in with burpees and jumping lunges
I did 6 rounds and we had 4 dead lifts per round

I'm finally going to start dedicating some time to lifting in addition to the MMA/Sambo stuff now that school is beginning to wind down. Tomorrow is the beginning of a 3 day split, starting with Tri's/Chest/Shoulders. MMA should cover all of my core exercise, and running here and there will probably be good for me too. :)
