That thing, it is a big thing.

I look forward to reading your comparison between it and the BIA.

Since I rock BIA I don't feel a strong need to pursue LIP.

BIA fills the noisy-ass-infinite-digital-drum voice void for me.

But perhaps LIP is in fact vastly different in which case I rest my case: guilty.

Apparently Plaits preorders were pushed back a month, which is slightly frustrating because I was hoping to have had mine this week. And also Paypal cancelled my preorder because the money wasn't withdrawn by Detroit Modular within a month.

So now I've got to decide whether to try to find a used Plaits or wait until I move at the end of June before placing an order for a new one... This is why preordering sucks.

So uhhh, I pulled the trigger on a 0-Coast to start my journey into Eurorack. My first order of business is to learn how it works and yadda yadda, then next month I’ll be getting a work bonus so I want to buy a Happy Ending Kit and another module.

What really got me excited about Euro was the fact that I got to see and touch some modules at Foxtone in mpls a few weeks ago. The module that made my jaw drop was a Mutable Rings. Dude just had an SQ-1 plugged into the strum input and ran that straight through a monitor. I couldn’t believe how beautiful this simple setup was. I definitely like the “Mutable” sound.

My question is, does the Rings make sense as my first additional module with the 0 Coast? I have an Electribe 2 which I’ll use for sequencing (ala r beny) and effects and filter. I’m definitely trying to make those ambient patches like Emily Sprague and r beny and whatever other #trending ambient modular homies there are. I predict my system will be full of Mutable stuff but I’d like some advice from someone who may have owned both units at once.

sounds good gurrrrrL! now. GIMME YOUR JUST FRIENDS.

Rings is badass. love it.

also, any suggestion for a smaller mixer for live stuff that plays well with modular levels? love my AR16, looking at an AR8, but would like 2 more inputs or all inputs to be 1/4 and an efx loop would be gooooood.

any suggestions?

I currently own both and think Rings is a pretty great addition to the No Coast. Gives you a great second voice to play with. You could go pretty far with those two

Is there any way I could convince you to make a video of a patch using just those two to make soyboy sounds? For science?
