yah. Bit Commander always feels like there's a bunch in there i can't get at 'cause it's not super bass friendly. SubDecay dooder said they had something in the works like the OctaSynth but geared towards bass. that might be neat.

New bass and new pedal day! :!!!:
I always wanted a short scale Fender bass and the sparkle Mickey Way is really my style  I will slap a TV Jones in there (thanks to Mudfuzz for planting this idea in my head :hello: ) but the stock pickup is quite good.
The pedal is a one of EF(86)-Booster by finetone-BF. It is mainly intended to "open up" line signal stuff but can also be used as a normal pedal. The EF86 is a pentode and i like the thickening they do. And yes, the housing is an old Metasonix box.

I was thinking about getting one of those basses as my first. I have tiny baby hands (I'm 5'11" with the hands of 14 year old girl  ) and figured the short scale would be nice. How you digging it so far?

No, only four right now. But there will be another one in about two months. Yeah, then 5 :yay:
The sparkle made me get it - just love that shit :idk:

I played it for about one hour really loud with a guitar player and my regular analog pattern robots drummer: it is pretty easy to play, the finish is superb (made in Indonesia), fretwork is very good, neck is comfortable but not thin, setup was ok - fixed the intonation on D and G a bit, unplugged sound is pretty loud and well balanced, plugged in it is a bit on the dark side (i will change the PU, so i do not really care). I had alot of fun playing it and with the Devi Ruiner (that was the only pedal that layed around in our practice space) the sound was pretty decent. The string tension on the E is a bit sloppy but still ok for my needs - probably a bit thicker strings may help here. I really dig the more midrangy response of the short scale basses. So a good decision for me. And it was dirt cheap (has a bleem and will be the one that is reviewed in a german bass magazine) and came with a nice, decent gigbag :thumb:
hope that helps - if you need further info just shoot me a pm or make a thread in the guitar/bass subforum. I'm happy to help. But i think, at that price you can't go wrong if you like that finish

If you stack them, will it just be a gainer?
