Ugh. I think my x58 system is finally giving up the ghost.
Went to play Fallout last night and it died on load for ages.
Went though a bunch of shit, removed drivers, updated them, pulled it apart today, cleaned it, reapplied thremal paste etc...now it won't find the hard drive automatically, overclocking fails dramatically, but will actually make it into windows AND run the game on default settings. Which it shouldn't becase it doesnt make spec without overclocking, but seems to cope alright.

I have no money to replace this bastard thing but its kind of been keeping on way too long now.
I was thinking about maybe just getting to this: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/31328/intel-xeon-e3-gaming-bundle as a starting point and then building on it, but, ugh, cash.

You could probably spend less money on a great computer.

These are Australian prices...
I'm not entirely sure what to do with our crap dollar at the moment. It's sort of not worth looking to purchase over the Internet.
My gear buying will also grind to a halt this year, I'm predicting.
If we hit recession like they're saying shit will be like the 90s again.

I just went 100% scumbag and bought and played Rainbow Six for and hour and a half and got a refund.

I liked the single player and it was pretty cool, but I kind of think that $60 au is a bit too much for me right now.

Just bought Hotline Miami 2, This War of Mine, the latest Don't Starve DLC, and Pony Island. Pony Island is hilarious and really good so far

Just purchased Soma on PSN. I don't really have any expectations, but I love sci-fi, horror and I hate the thought of being underwater. Should be fun. :joy:
