I just got free ticket to Megadeth! Hell yeah! I think the old Deathmetal band I was in is trying to talk me into coming back onboard, they have the ticket. Major Hatchets have been getting buried.

Totally got lost in the mix. Gotta rethink my rig. Right now I have an Ashly SC-40 Preamp going into a Mesa Strategy 400 and then I have one channel (200W) of the Mesa going into a 15/6/1 fEARful and the other channel going to a 15/6. The fEARfuls can each handle about 750W but the most they can possibly get with this setup is 200W. I love the sound. So awesome....but near enough of it.
So now I have to figure our what direction I want to go amp-wise......

The Strategy is a tube amp isn't it? If so, that seems surprising a little bit (with the understanding that I've never played through a tube amp with more then 100 watts).

It's got 16 tubes in it. The quintessential of tubes. Or sixteenessential of tubes.
I love the way this thing sounds but I'll be the first to say "tube sounds" and "tube volumes" are way overrated. It's more of "different brands vs different brands" than "tubes vs SS".

also, fuck y'all. i might.......... i might be buying my first toob head this Friday if dood still has it or will hold it for me. there's a Traynor YB 200 on CL for a good price. i'm just fucking tapped 'cause i just paid house rent, practice rent and paid off the Elements and the Infanem Fuzz from Grygraxxxy's lurverly little ass.
