When I see the first part of my avatar in my peripheral vision, I think it's an htsamurai post.

My mom is really into those, they help her a lot.
I haven't tried them, but I might have to sometime.

Dude, I wish those boxes weren't so expensive.
I really wanted the Armored Core ones when they were around...

I'm apparently terrified of needles/injections
I had surgery to remove an in grown toenail today
I almost puked and passed out when I had the local anaesthetic but when I calmed down I had absolutely no issue watching the rest of the procedure :idk:

Well, if you like needles, you'll love this story of mine:

Last summer, I was applying for jobs.
I saw that a Mexican restaurant in town was looking for a busboy.
I walked in there, said I wanted a job, and they hired me on the spot and said to come in the next morning.
Rad.

I got there early in the morning, and quickly found out that I was the only English-speaking person there.
No big deal.
The manager arrived shortly after and spoke ~alright~ English, so he told me what to do.
I said "Wait, shouldn't I clock in?"
He said we'd get it taken care of later.
First thing I did was sweep the parking lot.
After than, I came inside and he told me to go empty the trash in the bathrooms.
I pull the bag out, tie it, and as I go to pick it up, I get pricked by something.
Pressed up against the side of the bag, tip sticking out, is a hypodermic needle.
My heart stops and I have no idea what to do.
I try to communicate the severity of the situation to my coworker, but he doesn't quite understand and just brings me a band-aid.
My manager and everyone else just plays it cool, so I decide "Fuck it, I'll play it cool too".
(In hindsight, this was the WAY WRONG thing to do)

I finish the work day, and immediately after call my parents to tell them what happened and that I'm going to the doctor.
They flipped their lid and lost their shit and just about everything else a parent would do in that situation.
They were incredulous that my manager didn't immediately send me to the hospital.

They took blood samples at the doctor's office and administered a shot and stuff.
Since I am dumb and didn't think about it, and my manager didn't say to do anything, the needle just got thrown in the dumpster, so it couldn't get tested directly.
They were mostly worried about me getting Hepatitis C, but HIV was also possible but unlikely.
I honestly haven't ever been more freaked out in my entire life, though, as unlikely as it was that I got anything.
The thing is, these things can be dormant in your blood for quite a while before showing up, apparently.
So the only thing I can really do is hope it was just an innocent insulin needle or some shit.
In the meantime I have to get periodic blood tests for the next few years.

They never called me and asked me to come in again, so that job lasted all of one day, haha.
The managers were really shitty, never gave any of our many many messages to the owner.
Eventually we did get in touch with him, through my girlfriend's mom's friend's friend's daughter, who was his girlfriend.
He was a very nice guy and agreed to pay any and all medical bills I had.
I want to make it clear that I don't blame anyone for this situation, it was really just a freak accident.
However, the management at that place didn't handle what happened properly in any way.

After that I got a really rad job as a dishwasher somewhere else, so that was cool.
Sorry about the length of this story, I know it lacks brevity but I don't want to leave too many details out.

I really wish they'd release the other seasons of MLP in german. There is only the first one and I want to watch them with my daughter, who needs to be steered away from the stupider children's TV.
