Have the quality of your thoughts deteriorated after Season 4?

If you're feeling angsty and anxious to begin with, it may not be a great idea to smoke.

You'll just end up feeling more angsty and anxious. Relax first, then smoke.

That's what my thoughts are as well.
I don't do any drugs because I don't think I'm in the right mental state to do them.
I think my anticipated adverse reaction would be enough to give me an adverse reaction.

I don't want to get into an argument about the merits of weed.
I don't deny that it does good for some people.
Like, weed is great.
I'm glad it helps lots of people relax and feel great.
But I know myself and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't do that for me.
I don't think weed is what I need.

Seems like you've got some good sense.

You should read From Chocolate to Morphine: Everything You Need to Know About Mind-Altering Drugs by Andrew Weil.

Everyone should.

People get into trouble when they're not in the right frame of mind and they take "mood enhancers". There's a time and a place for most everything. Knowing when and where are important aspects of staying healthy.

There's a wrong frame of mind for eating chocolate?

True dat. One of the reasons I've been avoiding it.
Plus I've got so much to do my main concern is just getting through it. If I stopped for a smoke break, I'd probably just get more anxious that I wasn't getting things done and I'd lost more time.

Every now and then I get depressed and think about just selling everything and giving up on everything that makes me happy.

Oh, yeah, I get that too! And I wish for someone to shoot me in the open street, like some random amok-running shooting.

But usually it's not that way, phew...

I don't understand why non-jam bands record live records.
Concert movies I get. Just audio makes no sense to me.

Sometimes the live version of a song will be different (and a great change) but I'm not going to buy a live album just for the difference in one song.

QOTSA is a good example of the validity of a live album.

Over the Hills is rad.

I love live albums, though.

I like hearing how the song would be played "in real life" as opposed to with 40 layers of studio magic 'n such.

I'm all for hearing how it sounds live, I just want to see it played.

PetZounds have you thought of hypnosis? I've been going through these hypnosis mp3s and it really puts you in a relaxed state.
