Couldn't agree with you more on this one. I hate car culture---it makes me think of jean shorts (jorts), Drumpf voters, mullets, Winston cigarettes, and Budweiser. I really hate just the general machismo bullshit of hyper-masculine Americana. ---I like electric yellow, but not with checkered racing nonsense.

agree to some degree. like, classic electric guitars and basses were heavily influenced by car culture -the colors and shapes (somewhat) and even some of the instrument names were from cool cars. i kinda romanticize old cars and bikes, but i do hate the general machismo bullshit that's so common in those circles. ...and well, i guess in most circles.

FOR REAL! I use one of these. It sounds good and is super adjustable. But gat damn is it hideous. It really only looks natural on the pedalboard of some garbage numetal band. Its also about twice as wide as it needs to be and 3 times as heavy.

Even the new Rubberneck is somewhat disagreeable with me, because they just couldn't help themselves---they had to add arrows and circles. They couldn't keep it cleaner and more minimal like the vintage DOD designs. They had to clutter it up.

I don't have anything personal against those guys, and I don't want to e-fight them over their amateurish graphics. I appreciate their electronic efforts and their overall contributions to the pedal world/family, but their pedals are just so inexcusably unsightly.

It's ugly, but I don't see hypermacho redneckism. I see an NYC cab......as the name implies.
