I'm sure there are a variety of applications as the people from pigtronix are engineering masterminds but I like my ring mods to be 1. Bell like klingz and klangz 2. More dissonant than Polish composers 3. Wyk'id foook'in acid m8.

EDIT: Now that I'm thinking about it...the perfect ring mod for the title of this thread
We have similar (remarkably specific) desires in our ring mods. As much as I've been enjoying the Randy's Revenge, it's just so musical all the time, never gets super evil and I'm not sure if it's just me doing something wrong or if I should try a different ring modulator. :idk:

TBH m8...I was thinking of buying your Randy's Revenge...I have my heart set on something else though...nothing against Randy...it's just an allocation of funds thing. From demos, it sounds like RR nails the klingz and klangz. Am I wrong to have that observation?

It can do some klings and klangs just fine, but getting it truly dissonant and > Penderecki level seems to be hard. I can get it to maybe Gubaidulina level but that's it. I think I preferred the ring mod on the Bitquest to be honest.

Yeah I want my ring mods to sound like a flurry of laser beams being fired from a rotating mega-laser-Gatling-canon mounted to the bottom of a spaceship that's taking off when I do a bend.

I really want to try the Monobius..

Soooooon(ish), I have a feeling the one I'm working on currently will shake my perceived issues with them out of the works. :animal:

Very interesting... I am officially intrigued.. it seems to have some similar features to the MFOS ring mod.. but adds square wave and envelope too. That's neat as fuck.. I'll be watching this closely

That video for the Rimgmaster was the best thing I've saw and I don't even want one. Definitely not what I look for in a ringmod but EVERYTHING I look for in a product video

The Adventure Audio instagram promised a video soon. I'm very excited.

For dissonant my money goes to the little minifooger ring mod. The tone control is really handy for changing the frequencies and it's simple, three knob interface really keeps any "LFO" from bleeding through and there's no waveform options to dull it down. I A/B the big Moogerfooger and the little guy all the time and the Minifooger is way more "Forbidden Planet" but less versatile.
