I think I'm going to have to do the mod that it seems 95% of Bass VI owners have done and get the Staytrem bridge. For the first few weeks, I had no problem with the bridge. I had it intonated fine (not perfect, but fine) and adjusted the height to reduce buzzing and dead notes. It played great.
In the last week or so, I pretty much have to do a mini set-up everytime I pick the guitar up. The saddle height keeps sinking. Those little saddle screws are garbage. They've started just gradually falling out as I play, and I often don't notice until they come out completely and the string just flaps against the frets. Blah.
I've lost one of the little saddle threads for the A string, as it just rumbled out on it's own, so I'd need to source a replacement for that. From reading the reviews, it seems the Staytrem is a sound investment regardless.
