Tele w board.jpg
Koa top on 'hogany, chambered carved body; Sq51 1-piece neck; Porter Pickups w/ 4way switch, GFS seethru sparkle guard, rest of the hardware salvaged from a half dozen different places and guitars. Put her together 10+ years ago. Some changes over the years, but more or less my #1.
That's so hot! Tone/volume knobs look sexy too

That tele looks awesome! Interested in how see through it is too, might want to use that material for a project if it isn't too transparant

Sorta see thru. Depends on the light, the angle, and whats behind it. On mine, it's basically not at all. If you put it on a solid color, maybe something bright, maybe. But for the time being I can live with it. Got tired of playing pickguard roulette.

I dig it. I'm not one to fret - tee hee - over neck specs. Either it fits in my hand or it doesn't, if it hurts after playing for 10-15 minutes I don't like it, and those are rare. I'd like it to be just a little bit wider, left to right, as I've got fattish finger tips, and a hair narrower front to back to hook a bit of my thumb around. But that's idealism. Pragmatism, it fits, it feels like it's practically unfinished but doesn't gum up from sweat and bodily detritus even after - what? 5-10 years now. It's a keeper.
I know some of the original SQ necks were one piece, some two - this is a one piece. Not sure of the construction on the new SQ's or the intermediate Fender-branded varietal.

Definitely wouldn't describe it as "too" transparent, but don't know what you're going for.

yeah, the super chief - high-clarity but warm humbucker that sounds really great. Pairs well with the old dimarzio tds-1 in the bridge too.

I like how the (inlay?) in the pickup kinda mirrors the pickguard. sweet guitar.

Thanks! It's a bit of a bastard, here's the specs:
-70s body, 65 duo sonic neck
-gotoh tom mounted in brass studs
-old dimarzio tds-1 in the bridge and a nelson instrument super chief in the neck, two volume and no sliders.
-11s and those old grover coronado tuners.
