I'm pumped. The guy that runs one of the local music stores sent me a text today because he just got in a couple EHX Superego's and knew I wanted one. So I went down there expecting to pick up a new Superego but realized I've been saving up for a new guitar amp for a few months and if I use all my cash on a pedal I'd kick myself later when I realized I should have kept saving for a new amp. Well, he also had his old used Blues Jr. in the store for a great price... so I couldn't pass that up. So I picked up a nice amp for myself so I no longer have to deal with the crap that is the Trace Elliot Super Tramp that I currently have. Anyways, that's my happiness, excitement and general contentedness for the day.

OH! And in about an hour I get to go down to mix Aen's band, The Ronald Raygun, at "my" club. I can't wait. Should be a great night of music.

In the 27 hours I've had my MiniBrute, I've been inspired multiple times to the point of smiling and / or yelling from awesomeness.

Welp, I guess I have to go to that show now.

IF YOU'RE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A VAGGY VAJ YOU CAN BLEED INTO HIS MOUF. BECAUSE.

urf. i give blood every couple of months. i was in this weird spot where i'd had like a week off work and hadn't done ANYthing good or productive or pure or.... i dunno. 3 am, working my way through a pint of Ben & Jerry's nekid in bed and a commercial came on for how much good you can do by donating blood. called, made an appointment...... found out that i'm a baby donor. i never had a passel of viruses that leave antibodies in the blood (i think? my science sucks sometimes.) that makes blood safe to give to babies or young'ins. WOOT.

soooooooo..... i've been wondering..... hypothetically..... in this part of Cali if you've had a tat they don't want you to donate for a year. but i know they test it afterwards and it's not like i'm getting tatted up in someone's van or garage, i only go to studios and i watch them go through their sterilization process. do y'all think it's unethical to go ahead and donate, lie on the questionnaire where it asks if you've had a piercing or tat in the last 12 months?

What are we talking about? Ten months? Six months? One month? Yesterday?

Maybe it would be unethical to keep your healthy juices all to yourself... Murrrr?

And that Edward bitch ain't got nothing on me. I'll out sulk him any day

What is the hypothetical reason for hypothetically lying about it?
Are you hoping your blood isn't good enough and that you'll complicate the lives of whoever is lucky enough to get your blood. If that's the cause, hypothetically, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
If it's because you think your blood is still good, wouldn't it, hypothetically, make more sense to point this out to them so not only you, but other people that got sterilized ink and metal in their bodies can still donate?

HYPOTHETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTICALLLLLLLLLY....... i want to keep giving blood without taking a year break from whenever the last time i get inked is and i don't see why it would unsafe. but i'd have to lie to keep going.

MURP.

but if i point it out, nothing's going to change. regulations and rules at this level would take politicking to change, not just one person complaining.

What are the hypothetical consequences for fudging on the form?

Edit: Checked the Dutch regulations on donating with tats. They use 6 months. That might hypothetically ease your hypothetical friend's hypothetical question.

ZERO. i was told at one point that i should tell them i don't travel internationally, since the worry is people getting mad cow's and i don't eat meat. i have a friend that works there, we were chatting while i was draining, i mentioned going somewhere sorta recently, she said that was NOT ON YOUR FORM YOUNG MAN. we just refilled it out.

sooooooo...... it's really just a Is It Wrong Ethically concern i guess?

Pick the lesser of two evils; fudging a form but providing baby blood or denying baby blood because of a seemingly meaningless form question.

The Dutch form is pretty fun with all their questions and travel restrictions. Apparently they don't like you sleeping with African women.

lol. we have the Don't Stick It In Anyone From Africa stuff too. other fun ones are "have you done any favors or received any pay for sex?" and "have you gay banged another dood since 1975?". dunno why that's the cutoff...... but.... yeah.

that suh, is a very good way of looking at it.

1975 was when AIDS started showing up, and AIDS is rampant among women (and men) in Africa; that's why the seemingly random restrictions are there.
