It didn't arrive in pieces, but I pulled it apart as soon as I could. Should have it ready to play, cleaned up, set up, and rewired tomorrow. Hard case smells real musty, but we'll see if a couple days in the sun and fresh air can't fix that. Not bad for $200 shipped.

Certainly pretty enough to justify it and you'd still have less guitars than Zounds, so go for it.

Telefunken 12AX7s? Jesus Christ, what did that cost you?
A lot.
and more than money too

....Some sentimental value left me as well, had to sell 2 basses.
BUT
BEST friggin clean amp I've ever played through. AMAZING for pedals. It's tone heaven

I bought an old Guild amp last year for $250 that had a nice little surprise of three Telefunken 12AX7 inside. Used, not NOS, but still nice to find.

Yeah, I'm super excited to get it up and running today. Heavy as fuck though. Will make a nice second/cheap bass. Or weapon.

UGH. I missed one at my local music go round. They wanted $140. Would have bought it but for the stripped trust rod. I feel like I botched that one pretty badly.
