I have a major crush on the 70's BC Rich builds. There was a ridiculous 70's Seagul for $1600 a few years ago out here, with Dimarzio's and all the ridiculous extra electronics, but also the odd pointy part that sticks right into your ribs. Really wish I'd bought that. I also have this fantasy that I am going to walk up to a yard sale or pawnshop and find a ridiculously priced vintage 10 string bitch...

Got the iceman out of the shop yesterday. It ROARS through the newly returned AOR 100 I have. It sounds like the Deftones when I play it clean. Tuned it down to C.

But yeah, thats a seriously awesome axe you got there. Damn. Now I want an iceman...

Nothing to confess. Pointy guitars are winners guitars.
Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.
Join the cult of the Iceman.
Do it.

I saw BLS a few years ago, just because I wanted to see the shred.
It was horrendous.
It was like watching Elton John glammed down to roadie levels, trying to pretend he was was from the South, so drunk he could shit himself at any point.

ICEMAN KVLT

Surprised how well the stock d-activator pickups play with my fuzzes. And how absolutely dead quiet thy are when I'm not playing. Who fucking needs a noise suppressor??

I kinda want to make a demo of this set up. It's blowing my mind.

Since we're discussing the topic!

I finally got round to adding a tele control plate to my Mockingbird copy! Ordered a blank one and drilled it for the controls I wanted. I had a sawn off tele plate for only one of the knobs on it before, because it had a bad repair of what I imagine was a drilling gone wrong that fell apart when I sanded the guitar for refinishing. Only thing I had lying around to cover it was a pre-drilled tele plate but I had to saw it off to accomodate the other controls. Sure wasn't pretty, but now I took a chisel to the body so I could fit all controls on this plate and it came out looking excellent to my eye!

And yes, that Iceman is excellent too! I'm not sure if I could pull that off, but damn it is a cool looking guitar for sure, maybe I'll try it someday

well seeing as we're still on ridic metal guitars, NGD again today:

I'm going to put a bass string on the bottom, tune it an octave below the top string, and attempt to answer the question 'what if Floor ripped off a bunch of 80s stenchcore bands?'.

Yeah that iceman is a beautiful animal. I think I would like that bridge more than the tune-o-matic some other iceman models have.

Obulus, this is the first I've ever seen that second bridge idea. Way cool.

I have the Ibanez take on the tune-o-matic on my Iceman. Its solid.
Tune-os aren't everyones thing, but they do a good version of it.
I really want one of those Gibraltar style bridges for my RX resurrection.
Gonna be metal as fuck when I get that thing happenin.

Dase, you're a fucking genius.

And Ob: that mockingbird is poon.
