My first chance to REALLY test out my new fEARfuls at practice tonight....things were going great and then about 40 minutes in I start getting this farting sound on my B string. I notice that it's coming out of both cabs, though....I would shut one of the amps channels off and both cabs were doing the exact same thing....I would turn the volume down WAY low and it would still do it. That's making me think it's my amp and not the speakers that's having the issue.....so I shut off my amp. I play on a Mesa Boogie 400 Strategy Power Amp and an Ashly SC-40 Preamp.

I turn it on 15 minutes later and everything is fine. About 15 minutes after that, it starts happening, again. So I'm pretty sure it's the amp and not the speakers. Just sucks I didn't get to do a full run through on the cabs.

From that first part where everything was working, I would say that one 15/6 is louder than a 410....barely. Kinda sucks because it's just not loud enough where I could get away with only one. But with two I have way more volume than I need. I probably could have gone with two 12/6s but they were practically the same price. Ah well. First World problems. Taking the amp to the shop, tomorrow. Hopefully it's out soon.
