I wish Pandora didn't play the cure at me every time I use the site no matter what I do...

I remember when I realized that too lol. Like da fuq?
I actually don't think I have a favorite THE CURE album cause they're easily one of my favorites. That first album sound nothing like them. If you watch early live videos, Robert Smith is wearing a *gasp* POLO SHIRT!
There could be a whole thread dedicated to band's first albums that sound nothing like said band. The A Side of 'Static Age' is so bizarre compared to the rest of THE MISFITS output (NJ Natives!).

That's like at the beginning of the 2000s if you said you liked movie X and everybody would ask if you've seen REMEMBER THE TITANS.
"Yeah I'm super into gory martial arts films. Just saw THE STORY OF RICKY from Blockbuster"
"Yeah well...we just got REMEMBER THE TITANS on DVD"

Carnival of Light is a really great album & From Time to Time is one of Ride's very best songs.
Feel Good Lost is Broken Social Scene's best album.
"New wave" King Crimson is better than their early prog incarnation.

The correct album opinions thread is over there. For reals though, King Crimson is at their best without a Mellotron.
On a similar Crimson jag, 'Red' is heavier than heavy. All metal is false in comparison.
Even the best Slayer album has a maximum of 2 good songs on them.
'Love and Hate in dub' is the best Godflesh album.

I would rather cut off my own dick and eat it than listen to the motherfucking Beatles, Kinks, Led Zeppelin, or AC/DC.

Yeah. I'm tired of being bashed over the head with Boomer nostalgia. Fuck'em.

Honestly, I don't know why they are on that list. I don't recall ever being sick of them, per se. It's the Beatles/Led Zeppelin axis that drives me up the wall.
