I never wanted to learn how to play guitar... but I started writing songs and I couldn't find anyone that would play what I wanted them to at the time so I learned a few chords and how to transpose them.... I'd say I'm a good punk rock guitarist when I NEED to be

Don't feel bad guys, I can't play bass OR guitar.

I really, really, really, really need to get into the habit of practicing again. Playing a song's bassline again or droning for less than half an hour a day really isn't doing much for me.

what I am doing to really start improving playing. Some of these are goals:

1) starting to write own music (when I am able to record) putting ideas down and expanding.

2) I got this idea from a video Victor Wooten did a while back, I play my Major 7th scale patter going all the way down the neck from my E and A strings, focusing on speed and accuracy. My hands are cramping up but I am getting better at my ergonomics and fretting.

3) Using my effects to the fullest extent and figure out lines to play with them. I think I have based my whole distorted sound around my ECT

4) I got an ipad to get guitar tabs so I can start reading music. totally optional but I think the ipad is going to help aid my playing abailty.

5) Taking lessons again is a big one for me in the future. Changed the way I play.

all of this motivation and still I want to blow my amp money on fuzz.

6) Get in a band
7) or just find people to mess around with
8) play your bass while you are watching anime I wrote most of the That Band You hate stuff while watching anime... Sometimes basing where the changes are on what I was watching...

When i analyze a situation (any) the first think i ussualy ask myself is "Can i fap to this?"

I'm never going to stop buying gear, not even close to this.

It's not wierd, I just hope, since you focus all of your energy towards bass, that you are a master (or atleast one in your mind).

I'm good enough to justify what I own. I only own bass gear, I only play bass, I only like bass, guitars are too small and skinny and lame.

edit: price considered, it'd be one of the stupidest thing i ever did if i don't buy it...
