man, it's just a great week all around, innit?

on the other hand, unless it gets cancelled, i have a date with a rather cute punk rock woman tomorrow.

and i still have my cat. at least until my ex gets the court order to have him taken away. i may just have my useless lawyer call her and offer to give her the cat if she'll sign over the truck and we'll be done with it. i just want that part of my life to be over and to never have to think of her or speak to her or deal with her in any way ever again as long as i live.

Good, good :) good to hear

my funk-blues-rock band project is fucked, because my bass friend has some family problems and i don't want to play that music without him, because we have this... groovy connection.

But i'm working on a new projects, hopefully badass fuzzed out post-rock/sludge thing :) like Caspian meets And So I Watch You From Afar meets Neurosis... that's probably the starting point

edit: oh and because of my PC fucking up, i now have to read two chapter of Orlando by Woolfe in a few hours... IMPOSSIBRU

if i could just find a new job i'd give the house back to the bank and go away, back to the city where there are jobs and women and places to play. i want to write some fucked-up bitter psychedelic shoegaze pop songs, kind of a Joni Mitchell/Morrissey/Loop thing, and inflict them on an unsuspecting world backed perhaps only by a drummer and DATs, or only by a drummer a la the Durutti Column.

[quote="dubkitty"]sometimes i really like Ray (the 60s Kinks hits, "Waterloo Sunset," Muswell Hillbillies), other times he's mildly irritating. he's a good songwriter, though. to me, Weller has nothing to recommend him at all except that he's written a couple of decent-but-not-great songs, and his gee-i'm-great macho preening makes me ill...because he doesn't have the shit to back it up.
The Kinks had a couple of ok songs like waterloo sunset and sunny afternoon but I dislike nearly everything they did, and it's compounded by knowing people who think he was a total genius when I don't see it. Totally agree about Weller, his ridiculous persona is so grating and he isn't that talented.

Sorry to hear you're probably losing the cat dude, can't imagine how much that sucks. :(

I just got let go today from my job. Well rather yesterday, Boss came in and told me, in a nice way, that I was way under qualified for the job and they did not have the time to train me so they are letting me go but nice enough to keep my on payroll for the next 4 weeks. I guess the thing that sucks is the kid that they recently brought in is probably only a year or two younger than me but was already a senior accountant at another company. It just makes me feel like if this kid has already accomplished so much and is that young, where the hell does that leave me? If that is what is out there when I will be competing for another job, then I am fucked. I know how the interviewer will see me when they ask why did I stay at a company that isn't willing to train me and think that I have no drive or be able to take the initiative on my own.

I'm so tired, all the time. It doesn't matter how much sleep I get, I'm still tired.
I slept in today, and I still fell asleep just now. I'm kind of worried, because it's getting worse, as more time passes. :/

Have you been really depressed lately?

No, I've been anxious, but it's getting better.
I guess anemia and diabetes run in my family, so it could be one of the two newly presenting itself :/
I need to set up a doctor's apt.

Anxiety and depression go hand-in-hand very often. I've had bouts of both, and the physical symptoms can be very similar - fatigue, lack of appetite, etc. Going to a doc is a good idea either way. Meds aren't a magic bullet, but they can be a huge help, whether it's for short-term anxiety treatment (klonopin, xanax), longer-term (SSRIs like Prozac, Zoloft, Lexapro, Paxil etc.) or both.

Good luck dude.

sometimes the physical effects of anxiety and its associated states can build up over time and leave you wiped out...i spent most of today sleeping, and will probably be out again within a couple of hours. but it can't be a bad thing to have all possible sources of problems checked out.

I've read that our brains aren't super good about telling apart similar emotions, so that a lot of people with anxiety get depression not because they had depression initially, but because their brain thinks it's like the same thing.
