I'd sure do something about that window before all those sweet amps disappear out of it.

Seen it...if only that stuff came up in the UK, that would be exactly in my price range once i'd sell my rocker 30 too.

We're on the third floor, there's 4 locked doors to get to our room. It's more secure then my house, haha.

someone help me decide...

I want a pedal that gives me something different...i play mainly rhythm and not much lead, and our songs have a lot of acoustic parts too, which could do with some extra colour and atmosphere.. The pedals i'm considering so far are:

Phaser
Chorus
another Delay/Reverb (EQD Dispatch Master)
Tremelo
or something completely different...

any ideas?

Not sure I posted my new Tele in here yet, a limited Factory Special Run in Antigua finish. It's MIM so it's built and finished wonderfully and plays like a champ but it needs some hardware swaps to bring it up to speed. Found it on clearance plus the black tweed case for $550, nice deal.

Ordered some Bare Knuckle Blackguard Flat 50's first thing, old school singles wound hot for the high output. Supposed to bring the hugeness while retaining some Tele vibe, should be here next week and I plan to wire 'em with a 4-way switch mod. Also have a satin nickel Callaham bridge plate and enhanced compensated saddles to install along with matching aluminum knobs.

Just acquired a black anodized pickguard for today as well, threw it on immediately. I prefer it to the matching body colored burst guard that cones stock plus that thing is actually painted so I figure may as well preserve it.

Gonna be so fucking sweet after it's all done, excited!

That looks awesome. Excellent choice with the pickguard. I do like the original Antigua pickguard, but that black outshines it by a long shot. Those Bare Knuckles sound ideal. I might have to give them a shot one day when I have enough money. I'm pretty happy with my Broadcaster pickup in my Tele, but there is always room for improvement, especially when it's Bare Knuckle. Everything they make is just the shit.

The Wood Wizard wrote:SO guys. I now have 5 pedals that can run stereo and 3 amps, soon to have a third speaker cab too. What the hell do i do now?!

Right now in running all mono, one amp is all my dirty amp with all the effects in it, the other amp is also dirty, with just a boost in front. The third is unused due to having no cab, bt once i make the 2x15 i want to run everything at once. trying to figure out how to make this happen. not going well....

There is a Lehle switcher that can be run into three amps.

How about chorus-trem? Red Witch have a couple of awesome pedals that combine modulation to excellent effect. Personally I think tremolo is the shit. No other modulation compares. I cannot have a board without it. With that said, I'm using phaser more and more these days and have grown really attached to my Subdecay Quasar DLX. It was expensive and everything, but it never leaves my board. Once I pick up a Dr. Scientist Cosmichorus V3 I imagine it'll be swapped in and out each jam session, but so far my Catalinbread trem and Subdecay phaser are making me a happy man. Tap-tempo and subdivisions on both is essential.

for sure man! I wouldn't have considered it otherwise, believe me. I am a "bring my amp home after every jam because I'm so paranoid" kind of guy.

We're lucky to have such a secure practice space or I'd be the same way. Too many horror stories about disappearing gear.

Im not sold on phaser, i don't know where i would use it in the songs i play...I'm also leaning towards the hummingbird and the cosmichorus, both sound absolutely awesome. I could probably get the Trem now, but Cosmichorus would be another 6 months away!

The reason I was thinking about the dispatch master ,i have reverb thats on the whole time, and the delay i only put on during solos...so for cleans where i want real deep reverb and long delays, i would have to play with those other pedals, which i don't want to do.

Thanks Danny. I agree, the Antigua guard is def unique and cool but idk, in person it was a little much. Like you said, the black was so much better it made the choice real easy.

And I'm sure you'd LOVE the BKP Flat 50's. They're actually modeled after the early Broadcaster singles only with a little flatter EQ for a fuller sound and some extra output to bring the lows and volume. Tim also pointed out that they're the best in the series when it comes to getting along with fuzz/dirt pedals too so that was a HUGE bonus for me. :thumb:

I fucking LOVE my Dwarvenaut, single channel med-high gain awesomeness. Oh the lows, soooooo good! Lots of amazing high gain old school sag, loves getting hit with a boost/OD/fuzz but doesn't need it in most settings, and super LOUD! Recently sold my Orange OR15 because it was getting shamed by the Hovercraft's low end thump. Just couldn't compare....

$425 is a goddamn steal, someone needs to hit that.

Here's mine now days.

The only modulation I would use on much of what I play is either tremolo and the right chorus. Phaser is something that adds spice and intense flavour to small parts. It's not like an overdrive or a delay that alters the core signal and dynamically responds throughout the song. I see phaser as a hit of coriander or chilli powder. Too much of it can ruin a song, but in the right moments it can be better than anything.
