So I finally beat the first Metro. I don't know why it took me so long. I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. It definitely had the atmosphere that I've been looking for in a post-apocalyptic survival game. For instance, the fact that if I wasn't stealthy at times, basically meant I was dead. Or the fact that if I ran out of ammo or gas masks, which was actually a pretty distinct possibility, meant I was dead. And it actually really felt like a wasteland.

I started on Last Light and, while it's still good, there's a lot I haven't liked about it. For instance, ammo is abundant making it feel like more of a shooter and less of a survival game. And the start kind of sucked considering I made the opposite decision at the end of 2033.

The "indie game of the week-end" (it was all over my RSS feed) surprisingly turned out to actually be really good. And cheap.
Downwell, $3 on either Steam or iOS. Though I'm not sure how good the controls are on iOS, real physical keys/buttons are nice for this kind of games.

Downwell is great.

Gotten around to Tales From The Borderlands, I really don't like Walking Dead and GoT isn't my thing. But Borderlands is shaping up to be pretty good, played 3 episodes yesterday - even if I had to replay ep 1 because it bugged out. It has the right amount of humour without being bullshit Memespout. Plus Brock Samson.

Maybe....;)

I'm trying to get my PC ready. The graphic card I got off Andrew is sweet (thanks mate) but I got an 8GB kit that's just not agreeing with my motherboard. So it's going back and I've got my eye on a 12gb kit on eBay that's older that is supposed to be a guarantee, but I guess we'll see. I'm using my refund to get some Audio Technica headphones.

And then WAR.
War never changes.

Ugh. Steam sale. Too many games, not enough time. I have to really focus on things I really want to play and that will not eat too much of my time.

Unfortunately, the opposite is true. Every game i'd like, i'd likely already have and played with my spare time. :(
