Can anyone lend a helping hand? I am a novice when it comes to learning acoustic guitar songs by ear. I have an easier time playing hardcore songs involving power chords and single note stuff.

Any ideas on what chords are being played? I will assume this is standard tuning.

I feel like I can't play music well when I'm not feeling like shit.
(it's probably because I haven't been practicing, but still)

---

Actually I've noticed that I am most happy with my playing / inspired with ideas when I play music on a whim. Finding a piano / playing a guitar at a friends place / etc. When I assert the intent to play music, it just seems clumsy and half-assed. Hmmm.

Also, I think I have cyclothymia.
I know self-diagnosis is kinda bullshit, but yeah.

Sounds like life to me. I think you worry too much bud. Just play when it feels right and don't try to force anything. There's always plenty of time to make some rad noises

Hmm, I know what you mean.
On the music front, I'm a mess.
Unless I'm either feeling like butt (more commonly) or extremely positive (rarely), I don't really have the urge to play anything, and I often lack the willpower and general hope for the future needed to give a shit about practicing.
Then, when I'm feeling terrible, I can think of things that would sound awesome, but the realization that I can't actually play the guitar and thus can't articulate any of the stuff in my head sets in. 'Cause I never practice. Whoops. This also helps to make playing with anyone else painful.
I wonder if I'm attracted to noisier music for the pure enjoyment of it or if it's because noise is mostly all I can play

Anyway, the situation being as it is means I gotta just fuckin' manually override the controls here, get the gears lurching into motion and eventually, hopefully they'll grind up to speed enough to gain some momentum.
Also I use way too many "I"s.

Pretty much a Cremaster ripoff, but since I like Cremaster I also like this. And it's cool that they got the actor from Twin Peaks in this.

I wanna tell my band / guys I've been jamming with that I don't want to play with them anymore.
I've put it off for like 2-3 weeks.
Ugh, it's gonna be so weird.

my version of the discussion above is that the closer i get to having my board sorted, the less i feel like playing. it's as though my brain won't let me enjoy what i've been able to assemble.
