and if I don't like it here that's a BIG problem because my job is here and I have literally nowhere else to go. maybe i'll feel better when I can get out and do something, or when my truck's fixed and I can get to the grocery store without it being a major expedition. or I find a therapist. or something.

I think you should give it time, dubs. You're still adjusting to actually having stability. After moving around and questioning everything, you've now got time to calm. Hows the job going?

the job is going really well. it could hardly be better. they're really happy with me. the thing is, it's the only thing I have to look forward to in life other than my cat and sleep and/or tranquilizers. I need to try and get out more, but i'm still all broke down, so all Charlottesville is to me right now is the road back/forth to work, a window view of last week's blizzard, and my landlady's shrieking/banging/howling children (she has an 8-year-old girl who acts like she's 5 and a five-year-old boy who acts like he's three...she doesn't seem to believe in discipline). and the place I live is a wasteland, no furniture and boxes everywhere and nowhere to sit except a sofa the landlady loaned me. at least I have my loopers set up with the output going into the rack and coming out in stereo. but I can't play every night until i'm too tired to move.

I'm glad the job's going well man, that's great news. You're getting there man. You're making a lot of progress toward normalcy, and hell, at least you don't have to worry about where to sleep each night.
Once you're at the job for a bit you can slowly start to build up your furnature. Whether it be second hand, from ikea, or made from pizza boxes into some monster sofa, you'll get there man.
I'm glad at least you're getting able to play music. That's a great thing too!

I might get to go out this week and jam with a couple of the guys from work...remains to be seen, as the coroner said.

Dude, I heard a stat that said Brisbane has the highest number of people who identify as goth in the world.
It was about 34 today and about 1000% humidity, I don't know how they do it.
