YO! I am going to be all about 'Jim & Andy The Great Beyond' once it's up. Love Jim Carrey. Love Andy Kaufman. Loved that movie. Love meta films!

The missus and I stumbled upon the original Gumby series (1956) on Amazon Prime video this afternoon. It made trippy children's shows from the 70's seem normal. Truly bizarre in every way. Timothy Leary must have been on the production staff. :trippy:

I'm pretty into it right now. I initially wasn't interested cause I heard the name 'David Fincher'. Never been a fan of his work. I'm glad he's attached to a TV Show now as it gives him a little room to breathe. The same happened with Steve Soderbergh for me. Never liked his films but was really into 'The Knick' when it was first on.

I would have looked forward to it if I knew Jonathan Groff was in it though. 'Looking' was such an awesome show!

I've seen series 1 & 2 and loved them. Nice departures from the film while inhabiting a similar ethos. As compared to Twelve Monkeys, where I couldn't get past the first episode because there was nothing new there.

Is that on a streaming service? I watch the first season on Hulu and liked it. I had to take a few breaks, as it got kind of relentlessly bleak.
It is over here, don't know what the situation is like over yonder. It still gets pretty bleak. :snax:

Anyone else watch Fuzz: the sound that revolutionized the world on Amazon?
The DBA stuff is super interesting to see.
There's a kinda sketchy tour of EHX by Mike Matthews.
Josh Homme's tech shit talks ZVex a little.

I think I remember watching that about 10 years ago at a friend's house.

yeah seen it a couple times. that DBA segment (like half the doc haha) has actually kept me away from their stuff. such complete utter jank of an operation. seems like they've come a long way lately though. also don't understand why the maker/demo guy keeps making it such a point to so dramatically turn the fuzz pedals OFF when he's playing them. it's like he's never played guitar pedals before. wtf

maybe I should go to the mildly irritated thread for this. hah

Yeah, they were a really small op at the time, too.
Granted, there's still plenty of things that could be....upgraded re: how they make their pedals, but it's not like the early 2000's anymore.

:erm: Well, he literally explains it in the video, so. :idk:

I feel like if I don't actually start the season, I'll be free.
