The synthetic stuff is made up of chemical compounds...and the real stuff is made of chemical compounds. So that doesn't worry me too much, even though it's a little freaky.

BUT I still think synthetic might be bad to smoke. K2 is like sticks, herbs, and incense laced with synthetics...I'm more afraid of how safe it is to breath in that burning mix of sticks and shit.

but about the synthetic smoke, the problem with that is it's not the same cannabinoids as in weed. so they're totally untested and signs from similar chemicals point to some of them (specifically jwh-018 iirc) potentially being carcinogenic. but i don't know if i believe that or not because there's no sufficient data. the only testing that's really been done on jwh compounds has been sponsored by vendors of it, so it doesn't mean shit to me.

i haven't tried them. i might once or twice, but with drugs i'm all about harm reduction, so it'd only be to bioassay them.

I have tried the synthetic cannabinoids (legal in PA). Probably 5-8 times so I could really get a "feel" for it. Very similar effect. Actually stronger (one was much stronger!). Overall, I didn't like it. Easier to overdo it, and add in the unknown aspect, and it just didn't seem as right...

man, yesterday i was high on synthetic... when i came here, i was already OK, but those 2 hours of my life after i smoked it... it was live changing... the effect was so much stronger i felt like after i smoked a 2gram blunt one day... and we went to the most fucked up places but i have to say even standing on a sidewalk was really tough for me

oh and i have to say i felt weirdly sober yesterday evening... it worn out pretty fast and felt like it worn out completely

K-2 (et. al.) sketch me out. That's saying something. I've never shot heroin into my butt or anything, but I've done my fair share of experimenting. It's just the untested aspect aspect. It has nothing to do with it being synthetic. Drugs is drugs is drugs in my book. It's been banned in most cities around here anyway. If it isn't already illegal by state law, it will be soon.
