Well, my number may drop when I add the other stuff, but my wife and I just got married this past year, are both students, and I think I over paid a bit on my estimated taxes (being a 1099 contractor and paying your own taxes suuuuuucks). Lots o' credits and stuff.

I get more back because I have kids and don't make very much. We are expecting 5-6 grand back. That's what we got last year at least.

I just remembered I worked full time for roughly six months, so ill get more back than I'm used to being a student who works part time and all. Of course that's all going to end up going to paying for school rather than gear. Meh. It is what it is. This time next year ill be unemployed, but ill have a 4 year degree and be past what has proven to be a 22 year psychological block preventing me from any attempts at happiness.

Under $14k for income and you get $1k back on top of the rest of your return. You can get a return on the interest on loans ($8k in student loans I've been paying). There's a lot of tax credits and shit you can get.

This is my first year filing my own taxes. I'd be interested in hearing about how to get that $1k credit if you care to explain briefly. Is this what we're talking about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earned_income_credit ?

If you're a student, then I know you probably qualify for the HOPE credit. That's $1k just for being in school at least part-time and being in your first four year.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the one.

Also, my computer is being a bitch. Google Talk Plugin started over 170 times, and bogged my computer back to 1995. Stupid thing.

i wasn't bitching about the Peavey, just observing. i have a Epiphone LP Standard that weighs about as much as a dead Rottweiler, and am pretty much all about the Les Pauls at this point, so in my world 7.5 pounds is light.

I was just having a discussion (it's like an argument without yelling) with someone when they said "It's impossible to be an atheist because science is a religion and atheists believe in science."

Suddenly I'm aware intelligent conversation has gone out the window.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I DON'T EVEN CONSIDER MYSELF AN ATHEIST (FRANKLY I DON'T CONSIDER RELIGION AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE, I HAVE A LOT ON MY PLATE) BUT THAT SHIT MAKES ME MAD BECAUSE I'D LIKE TO THINK THAT SOMEDAY I MIGHT BE HEAVILY INVOLVED IN A FIELD OF SCIENCE, AND SENTENCES LIKE THAT MAKE ME FEEL ANGER DUE TO IGNORANCE.
