New band search is still on going. Browsing adds yesterday and came across something that was somewhat interesting but I stopped reading when I came across the name; Grungeback. No. Way.
Am I shallow for rejecting bands based solely on their incredibly lame name? Yes.

Couldn't find any Nickleback in there, they listed Bush as their main influence and I like Bush (who doesn't?), which makes the name that much worse. Could always send them an email 'Yeah, I'll join your band if you lose the lame name, let's call it Double Penetration instead.' That should go over well.

First off,...let me say that I'm not expert as cab ratings are a little dodgy in understanding and I'm pretty sure I don't have a complete grasp on some of the convolution me ownself. There is a definite science to it and as difficult of a time as I have understanding it I'll try to put it into laymans terms for you.

A good speaker rating is based on average continuous power over a specific period of time.

This I believe pertains to RMS,...which is what most cabs are rated at and in actuality most amps don't come anywhere near under normal operation. The only time it becomes and issue is when there are sudden and serious volume spikes.

Cabs also have a Peak Wattage rating which is to what the cab could handle if your bass->FX->Amp pumped out sudden volume spikes. From my understanding; these spikes are actually throwing out more power than what the amp is rated at (Could be wrong here).

I've been told by reliable sources that as long as you cabs peak handling is above and beyond you amps wattage output,...you are fine.

Again,...I'm not an expert and I will gladly stand corrected if I am uninformed,...or uneducated in my answers.

urf. thing about switching rooms is having to redo the deposit is a bit of a pain. and the place has a thing where when you first move in it's like $90 cheaper for the first 6 months. it's been MORE than 6 months and they have been cool with us staying at the original move in price. we havna questioned it, we just keep turning in checks for the cheaper rent. i forgot about that until my drummer boy pointed it out.

hah. my lil brother is GREAT at conflict resolution stuff. was chatting with him, he got all offended, asked if i wanted him to go in and kick their assees, then said, "just put all their shit outside in the street. they'll get the hint.".
