most of the fun I had finding the "perfect" dirt pedal was getting to play a bunch of gear even if I didn't keep it around. I'm not as into buying a bunch of different dirt pedals as I used to be, i'd rather just focus on my playing

What is this EQ control you guys are speaking of? You just mean scooping the mids, right?

i was just talking about using a parametric or graphic eq pedal to boost or cut whatever frequencies you want with a dirt pedal instead of just looking for dirt pedals with different EQ character.
like if you buy a fuzz and it's too scooped sounding sometimes it will be perfect if you boost certain mid frequencies with a separate EQ pedal before or after your signal hits the fuzz pedal, since i bought an EQ pedal i've found that whatever dirt I'm using there's always a way to make it sit better by pairing it with a separate EQ and haven't really felt like I needed to keep trying more dirt pedals because the only thing i'm really concerned with is the basic timbre rather than having super specific needs.

I have been interested by doing an EQ after a dirt pedal though. I see a lot of people high on The Elements so I think I'll try and score one post-TAFM.

I keep waiting for that time when I have the money and a Empress EQ v2 hits the market cheap. I've been wanting to stick an EQ at the end of my dirt chain for ages. I might go for the DOD Boneshaker if it's the right price though, that and the meatbox...

Also, has anyone used the Montreal Assembly Wrong Side of Uranus? Got one coming my way, interested in what to try in what modes. Excited for the Blipo mode from what I've read.

Post dirt EQ is awesome. I use an Anarchy Audio Esquilax. A nice simple EQ with hi, mid, low with a master volume controls. I actually run mine post dirt and Wah so I can even shape my Wah tones too
I read in the Anarchy Audio shark tank page that he has discontinued it. Shame because it's an awesome pedal.
