Yeah I literally just bought a DL4 so that I could put it at the end of my chain and loop the loops coming from my count to 5 right at the start of my chain.

I only noticed that multi-switch a few days ago however and now I kinda wish I'd saved some $ for a future timeline. I know it will happen, just the prices are cooked here in AUS.

Either way between my ct5 and DL4 I have loops aplenty for the moment.

I received mine yesterday. Very pleasant pedal, lotta fun. That was the waiting time worth!

I got mine yesterday and I've been having fun.
Some things that were not immediately obvious but I think I've figured out:
Direction settings are not centered at noon but more like at both 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock. Upward pitch shifting will happen beyond those points; downward pitchshift and bitcrushy kind of sounds happen between.
In Mode 1: Direction and Length together will determine the amount of pitch shifting. The speed of the playback will interact with the length of the sample.
In Mode 2: Length seems to be a fraction of the total sample length, rather than being fixed lengths along the knob. So even if you keep all the settings on the pedal the same and sample the same sound, if the sample lengths are different, the output will be very different.
When changing length settings with an expression pedal from long to short, you need to wait for the setting to change as it ramps up to the new speed.
Q settings are more noticeable with higher feedback settings.
In Mode 3: Every knob is a direction knob and there is no knob for Length or Rand. Expression pedal seems to supercede the other controls in some unclear manner.

The features all work in such non-intuitive ways and are so interactive that it can be hard to keep track of the interplay and to predict how any change in any setting will affect the overall sound.

You do get more used to it and figure out how to recreate sounds with practice.

It is centered at noon in the sense that at noon it flips from forward to backwards playbeck. All modes are like this with any DIR knob, not just mode 1.

yes. you record something then the length is a % of the length of the actual sample. So your recorded sample dictates the max length etc.

Its not so much that you "have to wait", its that the buffer is empty after changing lengths so there is not much happening when you first change. Similar to turning on a regular delay pedal, there is nothing recorded yet and you don't hear any echos for teh first delay period.

Yes exactly. That is why there are 3 lines on some controls, first line does what it says on mode 1, second line in mode 2...etc. The expression pedal ALWAYS controls DIR 1 in mode 3. the E switch controls how many playback heads are active. You can read more about it in the manual. Its not actually that un-intuitive if you read the descriptions of what the modes are supposed to do.

I also first thought it wasn't intuitive and what I've done in the first minutes with the pedal was something I never could do again. I've spent few Hours with it and I can now easily reproduce the first sample I made. Just turn the knobs!

$550-$750 on Reverb? Heh! I realise this has nothing to do with the builder and everything to do with hype, but that is not cool.

People using their exclusivity and tireless internet-hounding to profit off the creativity and limited availability of small builders' crafts. Gotta love America.

Edit: just checked the account of the guy selling it for $750. In the past three months, he BOUGHT a CT5 on there for $198 total, and sold one for $400. He must figure he can double the price just because. So probably he got that one for $375 thinking he could double it again. Hell no.
