I don't like family gatherings. I'm only into this christmas thing for the presents.

I didn't buy anyone anything. I wanted to, mind you. I'm just way too broke. I wanted to buy my parents a nice set of steak knives... but the ones that match our knives are 250 bucks. >.<

BUT TO BE FAIR I WAS THE ONE THAT RESEARCHED AND CHOSE THE GIFTS SO THAT NEITHER OF MY PARENTS HAD TO. THAT HAS TO COUNT FOR SOMETHING.

I have no money at all at the moment because of Secret Santa and presents for family ( Thank god Christmas with presents doesn't exist in my country or I'd have to buy my mates some too)

But it's well worth it :)

I've had constant loud ringing in my ears for the past 3 days as well as a general feeling of anxiety. I know getting some real sleep will help, but...

It's so hard to go to bed early.

i'm totally broke; i got sacked in September and my severance pay ran out mid-month, and the unemployment hasn't kicked in yet. my long-term gf and i are still caught up on the mortgage and shit, but i haven't a cent for Christmas stuff unless i use credit that i really can't afford to pay. but i still used the last $50 in my PayPal account to buy a used Velcroar. i'm a bad, bad kitty.

i'm also really frightened because i have to go look for a job and i just turned fifty-four and was in my last job for 10 years. i'm totally out of practice at interviewing and am afraid nobody will hire me because i'm old and shit. but there's nothing else for it but to go out there and get in its face. i'm really not looking forward to having to overcome stuff again, though. :mope: however, the three months off was nice.

I actually do like pie. In fact I prefer it over cake. I was just lying to kick it.

That sucks, dubkitty. My mom is in the same situation, it's tough.

Hopefully everything works out okay in the end.
