Although I have to admit that the Hot Hand seems like it would be utterly useless to me. I just don't understand how in the fucking hell I could ever use it. It seems that left-hand tapping is the only way you could ever free up your right hand to use the hot hand. And I don't tap. Ever. It's awesome for the people that know how to do it, but I don't, and it's not my style. Does anyone actually use one that has no fucking idea how to tap, like me? I've never seen a demo where anyone used one in any other way then how Behndy just did, which makes me have absolutely no interest in it all (for myself, other people can do cool shit with it)

Do that many bassists actually use tapping techniques?

Not sure what the setup was looking like at the time. My guess is that it was mainly a combo of TAFM, octave down pitch shifting from an M5, and the Multiwave Distortion. I think there is some Xerograph Delux on the first ones lead line too.

BCBC, you can do all kinds of stuff with the hot hand ring. Attach it to the end of your bass neck and shake your bass. Attach it to a hat and move your head around, your shoe, your dong, whatever.

yah, outside of the hand, i don't know how you'd use it in any different way than an expression pedal on the hand it lets yo move it finer and quicker than i can do with a pedal.

well, simple tapping stuff like i was doing in that vid is really just the same as what your left had is doing when you're playing. just press a little harder. give it a go. i'd be surprised if you couldn't do decent left hand right now and just don't know it.
