Well, I guess most of us have read that ToneFactor is going out of business. Sad to see this happen. Anyways, with the 15% off code applied, Lava Solderless kit, mix of 5 straight and 5 angled is $76.46. I need to eventually make 10 cables that are straight on one end and angled on the other. This would get me half there. I am finally spending the dough on the accesories I need to maximize the use of my board, YAY!
Edit: Damn the Lava Soldered cable kits are like $50 on Ebay...probably better and more reliable...plus cheaper

hurm? wassat? i don't see any soldered kits. i thought Lava only made the solderless style?
i'm not that into them. i've already had to redo two of them and i wasn't moving stuff on my board that much and was being VERY gentle with them. kind of annoying. i probably wouldn't have any if i didn't need some super tiny headed cables for some spots.

I just wired up my new board with new soldered cable last week. I am never doing solderless again. I remember when I did a George L kit, a couple of them were wonky right from the start, eventually more than half of them being shit. These feel so much more sturdy and reliable. Plus, I did it all for like 30 bucks. I got 20 GLS Audio pancake plugs for 20 bucks, and 10 feet of Mogami cable for like 11. I'm so happy I went that way now.

Thanks guys, that is all I needed to hear. I should just price good cable and the plugs I need. I can't use pancake heads for going into my 5 channel looper, too tight. So I am going to go for 10 straight for in and out of each channel. I need to just Mock it up, figure out total length, etc.

for sure. i would way rather go soldered. i only picked up these because the bypass looper i have won't fit with pancake heads. the heads fit (Dan was careful about that), but i measured wrong and it needs smaller heads for where i want to mount it.
i don't like these Lavas that much. and yeah, solderig your own ends up about $4-$5 a cable instead of $18. i can't afford to spend the $500 on Lava cables to get enough to do a board. woof.

I must have the Midas Touch.
I've been using George L's for going on 2 years and have only botched one cable. That said I'm not really tearing down and rebuilding my pedalboard on regular basis.
I do feel bad since I know how to solder I should be soldering my own cables,...but using a feedback loop AND an LS-2 the small form factor George L's plugs are a pretty elegant solution for space constraints.

yah. again, i dig the small heads you can't do with home soldered cables. but i still use the Hosa tiny pancake head 'uns for short connections/side by side pedals, i just trust soldered ones for longer custom length thingers.
oof. M9 on the way = GOOD. Pedal Shuffling Madness To Make Room = annoying.
might put my Rusty Box underneath if it looks like it'll be safe. never change any settings on it anyways.

From where? I keep hearing about this pricing but can't find who sells for this.

yeah, there's an electronics shop near me that sells them for $1.25 a head, so it's $25 a 20 pack. the no shipping is offset by paying tax, but i'd way rather just drive for 12 minutes then wait most times.

Fuck your balls.
With that NASA ass space grade velcro you use, you're probably wrecking shit getting it off your board.
A spatula. I had to use a fucking spatula to get your Poly-grace off my board. And not just a regular spatula. One of those heavy duty metal BBQ ones. It was like a delicate operation because you know how much I revere the Poly (mine wasn't in, yet). After that, any pedal I get from you sits on the wood floors. I don't let it anywhere near another opposite half of velcro.

Hey guys, gonna need a good pair of studio headphones here real quick. Any suggestions at all? I'm looking to spend about 100-150 and I want them to last for a long time. I need accurate sound reproduction, no coloration. Also looking for comfortable and light.
Or perhaps does anyone have an old pair they'd be willing to sell me? I missed out on a pair of AKG K702's for 135 and I'm incredibly bummed on that.
Cool news and things are happening for me, but I don't want to spoil it just yet.

Oh hey. I just sent off my paper work to get my license. In a few weeks, I should have letters after my name. Word.
And I don't know of any studio headphones.
