here's what i have found works. WRITE A LOT! fill up a bunch of pages. unlined works better. don't structure your writing, just fucking write. a lot of it will suck. a lot of it will be corny. but with any art, you gotta get all the bogus shit out before anything good comes out. i'll go back over my pages a few days later and underline shit i like and write it back down and flesh it out. still not good enough for lyric shit yet, but i'm starting to produce lines i like. it's a slow process. and this is coming from someone who complains about writing lyrics on ilf all the fucking time.

That sounds like you could get some good meaningful results writing that way. I write lyrics on an as-needed basis. When I write a song with vocals I decide on an outline of what I want to say or a storyline or whatever, count out the syllables per line, and start writing.
The first couple of lines are usually kinda tricky, but once I get into the flow of it I can write pretty fast. If I have everything but the actual lyrics written I can usually pound 'em out in a half hour or so. And don't dismiss your stuff too readily, outside of mariner's revenge song, I've never listened to all the lyrics of any song.

The way I read it, they took down Megaupload for the whole issue of paying uploaders/third party sites who were uploading copyrighted material.
Just goes to show you, never leave a paper trail.

This is how I tend to write, but I write full songs, and may later steal lines to write new songs around.
Or, I'll just stream of consciousness lyrics in a rhyme scheme for rap lyrics. I don't have any recordings or finished tracks, but I like writing noise-rap. Just whatever words fit together. Inspired by Das Racist, honestly.

I've never actually used one, only seen the PGS demo, but it seemed like an excellant example. My BYOC Fuzz Face has the bias knob put outside of the pedal and i'm seriously considering modding the hting to have a voltage knob.

My uncle got in a really bad wreck sunday night and has been in the ICU since and some redneck, prick, pos robbed his house.
My dad could lose his brother and you want to score a free tv? It makes me want to slay people.

Three bands you should never list on your "influences":
The Beatles
Nirvana
Metallica
Fucking everyone who's listened to music in the past 20 years was influenced by them. That's like saying "Guitarist available: plays guitar." It's fucking redundant.
