band i was in when i was younger had an Andy And His GrrlFriend. he was super nice, she was hawt in an unconventional way. lurverly peoples.

i don't do well being the center of attention though and Our Andy Couple was way into all the bass stuff. flattering, but uncomfortable making.

the band i was in which was most successful (HA!) had some devoted people, and i had a little claque of five or six people who would stand out there and watch my every move on lead guitar. honestly, it creeped me out. i didn't like having people that intently focused on ME rather than on what the group was doing. for some reason it was weirder than playing solo, possibly because it was a pre-"jam bands" jam band and the audience approached us with that crucial Deadhead attitude. yuck. that was one reason i quit...i didn't want to be their Santa Claus.

I was wasted during the entirety of my tenure in my personal "most successful band," but I don't think anyone paid attention to me like that.


It was awesome, actually.

Holy shit, I just bought a cool power supply unit for my pedal board. I have been hip to them for awhile but it was like $60. I got it for $107 shipped. Mecha Shiva has a dude that's been to every single one of our shows. EVERY FUCKING ONE. He has literally not missed a single show we've played.

He's a friend of the band though and is a cool bitch,...so it's no big deal.

So I'm extremely proud of this set. We go out to Buttfuck Egypt,...get shoddy directions no less after a late start getting on the road, and get lost. Show up and it's a Trailer with a Detached Welding Shop,...play to about 6 or 7 disinterested hillbillies and their cracker spawn, freeze our nuts off and come out with some relatively musical and inspired recordings.
