Black Metal artwork really turns me off. I just can't take that shit at all.
Glad Hipster-BM is a thing now, Deafheaven or Liturgy have covers that make me want to listen to their stuff.

It's great that you mention that haha. When I was in college for design everyone was SUPER confused because I contrasted elemenets of black metal culture into my design along with ultraminimalism. A lot of people thought it was weird haha

I think Hipster Black Metal is a pretty annoying tag but I guess snobbery is kind of theme in that genre. too bad cause the music is great and it would suck if anyone didn't listen to some great music in there because of stuff like that

Yeah, its hard to get into a style of music sometimes when the artists go way out of their way to just put on an over the top image even when its not always serious.
And this is from somebody who finds ICP entertaining.

Hipster black metal (HBMKVLT?) for the winning. I hate black metal, but some really good shit has popped up out of that stuff and I van actually listen to it.

Sadly, that wrecking ball song is a really well constructed pop song. She could be doing so much more for her career imagewise and that song could put her into classy pop diva territory, but she has opted for trashy mcwhitetrasherson antics instead. No iconic status for you, Miley.
