I don't lurk here as often as I would like to. Work has blocked access to ILF. Woe.

I learned all of my dance moves from the strippers in grand theft auto vice city.

I kind of really hate a song my band is playing and have no idea how to be like, "Yo I'm really not into this and we can do a lot better." Especially since they love the song.
It's just so... shitty jazz fusion or something. Not our style at all. And I can't even play bass to it. Sounds like something a 12 year old would write.

But maybe it will be worth it just to play it and let them figure it out themselves. I didn't write it so I try not to judge.

I felt this way a lot in a band I was in with my friends. I eventually quit, I never was able to fess up to just really not liking the sounds they would write

This is the only song I feel that way about. I really connect with the guys as musicians, so I'm definitely not quitting. Hopefully they realize we can do better but everything takes time.
In the mean time I'm just going to try to write a bassline that makes it marginally better. Because something has to make it better.

Or if nothing else I'll just blast them with fuzz and sub-octaves!
