Yeah, screw that fps noise. VATS all day.
I want to be slapping people's guns out of their hands.

VATS is a huge part of fallout.
The new incarnation is kind of weird, but it really was the coolest thing ever back in the turn based games.

Being able to target limbs and blow them off was awesome.
They should ramp that shit up.

Oh don't get me wrong, what I really want is for them to be 100% turn based again, in all the not turn-based games I play I endure the real time action in order to enjoy something else about the game. But I realise I'm in a minority there and it's not going to happen. I hated VATS though, if the game HAS to be real time I want it to be 100% real time all the time. Switching to VATS completely ruined any immersion for me, just feels like cheating. :idk: Different strokes, it's not like one is forced to use it.

On another note, wow I just looked up the price. Yeahhh, I'm not going to be buying this until it drops a bit. £50 is ridiculous.

I relied heavily on VATS in Fallout 3 and barely touched it in New Vegas. Not really sure why. Don't really care if it stays or goes though

Also if that leak is accurate, Fallout 4 is coming out around the same time as the Mad Max video game, so I likely will never be leaving the house again

Seriously, Mad Max gameplay looks so good:

As fun as Fallout 3 was to play, I find myself terrified about committing to another game that will consume 100+ hours of life. I have been waiting to buy a new console too and this might actually do it. I had figured a new (not remake) Gears of War might do it. Though the new Star Wars Battlefront game could be great, I will wait to see how the review turn out since I don't have faith the the devs or publisher.

Giving Witcher 3 a short break. D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die was finally released on Steam.

That game is super, super weird in a way that I can't work out what exactly makes it bizarre.

SWERY. SWERY makes it bizarre.

Swery is truly the voice of our generation. Now if only one of his games could get a decent PC port.

So there's been Dark Souls 3 rumors floating about, then these guys apparently have info and screenshots:

E3 should reveal all. Excite :joy:

Deadly Premonition was a fun one, I don't think that I ever finished it though.

D4 on PC plays pretty well. It's mouse only, so it the perfect game to play while filling you face with beer - which makes the game even more enjoyable.

Unrelated, it baffles my mind with how different it is to watch something at 60fps compared to playing something at 60+fps. :idk:

Decided on playing Fallout New Vegas to tide me over until Fallout 4/Mad Max come out.
Playing a totally different character; 1 INT, 10 STR, all melee. Been really fun so far to experience the game from a different perspective. I still haven't encountered any of the different dialogue options that are supposed to come with playing a 1 INT character though

I bet that's fun. I'm trying a classic Fallout style run through NV right now. I feel the same way, turns out they're really subtle. If you read the dialogue options you'll notice that the answers you have to choose from are less eloquent than they would be with higher INT. There's some really good ones in Dead Money with Dog and some good ones in Old World Blues when dealing with the Think Tank.
