Mastodon are probably touring for The Hunter so I imagine they'll be playing a lot of the shit songs from there, but I still love them. I've seen them before and it was my favourite show of all time.

Torche, I'm not familiar with their music to the level of Mastodon, but I'd really like to see them and for the most part enjoy listening to their records. They're playing in Belfast, though, and that can be a little harder to get to than Dublin.

Red Fang, I'm not a massive fan of their records, but I'd still love to see them play in person. They seem to be one of those bands that excel and work at their best on stage.

I've only seen Torche the once but they were fucking exceptional.

Red Fang is definitely best served on stage. I have all the recordings and they do get spun occasionally but they fall short of the realness.

Yeah, that's what I hear from so many people.

The gigs themselves are very cheap, so maybe I can book a bus ticket online (to save money) and find a B&B that's only £20 and attend all three shows. We'll see.

not only did all my tools get stolen, but then i fucking rear ended someone an hour later. and then i went to practice and one of my damn cabs has three speakers not working.

but then, we had a killer band practice. like one of the best in a long time. it turned everything around. then i went and met up with my girl and she was super sweet to me and we got drunker than christmas. it was a cathartic and therapeutic evening. i woke up hungover, but feeling a lot better about life today than i was yesterday.

did someone say doom room kickstarter?

Parker may be against this based on principle, which is understandable, but I'd still get behind this. Like, WAY behind.

thanks to all of you. and brett's right, i'm not into the idea. lots of people have been super cool with offering to help out or loan me tools or just being supportive and it's awesome. i'll get by and i'll recover. and i'm not into any kind of fundraising on my behalf. shit happens and i'll be fine. i do appreciate the sentiments though. you dudes are great. as are a lot of other people in my life.

Parker, I'm so glad you're feeling better. I'm sorry all this stuff is going down for you but it is great you're staying positive.

Technically it is just the lower piece that houses the trigger mechanism and the magazine but they work with the a15. It is a pretty cool area of discussion because of all the implications of what could happen because of this. Saying you wouldn't download a car made me think of it. Vice has a pretty good video on the subject if you want to check it out.

Oh and sorry if I just forgot but did any chime in when we were discussing the 2x15 on whether they have had a 2x15 in the size of a 4x12. It would be a ways off but I like the look of it and was thinking about ordering an avatar 4x12 and replacing the baffle. This would be in combo with a 4x12.

You know if you're already ordering from Avatar you might as well ask and see if they'll just do a 4x12 sized cab with a 2x15 baffel, I bet they would.

i was going to say the same thing. i'm sure they would do that.

i know vader used to make 4x12 sized 2x15's for guitar. and i've seen emperors too. plus that pic of the matamp. you don't see them all that often, but it's not terribly unheard of. in fact, i bet avatar's done it before.

I didn't even think to ask if avatar would do it. Thanks for the suggestion guys. Like I said before it wouldn't be for a while since my extra money is going towards the amp right now anyway. But have any of you guys used a 2x15 like that? I would wonder if it would sound alright since it is a smaller box then you normally see 15s in and there would be no ports. I also have a weber michigan 15 which doesn't have any stats posted to play around with win isd. Not that I can get win isd online to work anyway since I am on chrome and the java plug ins are screwed up.
