Haha that's a good way to describe it. Multiple hits and muli-plets. I would have a hard time choosing between Giles and Burford, each one fit in the band in their very own way.

ok, so this is hardly prog in essence, but given that it's a tribute the proggiest of instruments, the call of the cape in the hall is quite audible, and therefore it seems appropriate to toss it up in here:
hey what's the heaviest Deep Purple. I want to hear organs through full stacks and shit.

Burn? Everything before Stormbringer is pretty consistent imo but im not the most well versed in deep purple. Live recordings c.a. in rock are pretty wild
