I'm about to embark on an epic quest to get things that I actually need in order before buying any more gear. I'll save up for half a year, only relying on my Big Spider for fuzz, money burning a hole in my pocket and heart.

And when I have a car that I feel won't lead me to death, and I'm going to school, and find a job that also doesn't suck...then I'll indulge myself in an Eau Claire Thunder.

I bought my car for $50 at an estate sale.

Wow. Does it actually run and stuff?

I bought mine for $150 from a lady down the street. It did okay for about a year but now the fun is over and the cost of replacing parts is way not worth it.

Runs great. Needed a new battery but thats it. Stereo doesnt work on one side though. Not that i care as i drive with my ipod on.

today i have two:

i've come to the conclusion that i don't like deerhunter. i don't hate them. but they're nothing too special or memorable. but i've only really listened to halcyon digest and i usually skip through the songs after i realize that yes, that riff is the entire song, and no, nothing is going to change.

i also have noticed that i have 800 das racist listens according to itunes but only 550ish scrobbled on last.fm.

maybe it's for the better.

Lately I've been into genres that are more "slow and heavy". Sometimes I listen to other stuff I'm not dying to hear at the moment, just because I secretly feel like the music I'm really into is "too simple". Like if I get too into playing that style I'll have a hard time advancing technically.

That sentence looks kinda lame. I'm not into prog or math rock or anything. Not that there's anything wrong with those, but they aren't my goal at all.
