My whole livelihood just got fucked by some shithead junkies. The cops aren't really going to do anything either. The best I can hope for is that these assholes get a bunch of money and overdose and die.

This.

did someone say doom room kickstarter?

Parker may be against this based on principle, which is understandable, but I'd still get behind this. Like, WAY behind.[/quote]

This too.

As far as recording guitars goes. I like those ideas about putting one condenser a few feet back in the room to catch some of that room sound. I have always done the Jerry Cantrell style recording though. One track panned hard right, another panned left With a different amp) and any overdub / solo stuff straight up the middle.

Downloading doesn't nearly have the same impact as stealing. Stealing denotes the loss of the item. Parker was left with nothing. Downloading copyrighted files are duplicates. The original file is still there.

yes. yes i would.

So would I, but we know it's not possible. I'm only being honest here but I thought D.o.S' comment was a little insensitive. I totally get where he was coming from, especially since I would never truly wish violence upon someone for stealing no matter how much it fucks with your life. But there is definitely a vast difference between stealing someone's tools and their livelihood than downloading an album you were never going to buy anyway.

Downloading music somehow being stealing is ludicrous and I can't believe there are still humans corny enough to think that it is. Actual theft deserves actual violence. Bigtime. I'd break all their fingers if I caught them. That's after the severe initial beatings of course.

I guess I'm alone here but I don't think any crime deserves violence. Longer incarceration terms is more fair, IMO. But whatever, I'm not going to go any deeper. I doesn't seem right considering.

Have you guys seen any of the articles or videos about the dude who is working with 3D printers so you can download a gun? Technically it is just the lower piece that houses the trigger mechanism and the magazine but they work with the a15. It is a pretty cool area of discussion because of all the implications of what could happen because of this. Saying you wouldn't download a car made me think of it. Vice has a pretty good video on the subject if you want to check it out.

Oh and sorry if I just forgot but did any chime in when we were discussing the 2x15 on whether they have had a 2x15 in the size of a 4x12. It would be a ways off but I like the look of it and was thinking about ordering an avatar 4x12 and replacing the baffle. This would be in combo with a 4x12.

Tax dollars are used to pay for incarceration. Ass whoopins are for free. I'm neither joking nor posturing with this line of conversation this morning. A couple years ago some dumbshit was attempting to vandalize our van while we were INSIDE OF IT so I body slammed him in the middle of Pike Street (directly in front of the Comet where we had just played) and about punched his face off. The cops told me he got what he deserved and then sent us on our way.

I should add that I'm no jerk out there acting tough and looking for trouble. There's more than one fellow on this forum able to verify that. But I also step right up if necessary. That time (2011) was the first I deemed necessary since 1993

I need convincing to go to either Mastodon, Torche or Red Fang this summer.

Kowloon Walled City and Zozobra together will tear down the city and it'll own bones.

Also go see all those bands, Goldfish. ALL OF THEM ARE SO GOOD LIVE (provided Mastodon isn't playing too much from The Hunter). If I had to choose right now I'd go Torche priority #1 and then Red Fang because I really wanna see Red Fang again.

I have seen Red Fang quite a number of times and I gotta say that the last time was the best yet. They're at the top of their game right now imo
