Thanks dudes. I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do. It was several thousand dollars worth of shit belonging to me and a couple of other people. My whole livelihood just got fucked by some shithead junkies. The cops aren't really going to do anything either. The best I can hope for is that these assholes get a bunch of money and overdose and die.

That sucks. I'm sorry dude. File a police report and if the stuff pops up in a pawn shop then you might get some of it back.

Glad you liked it. Another thing I picked up when recording guitars is to use a third mic placed a few feet back from the cab in addition to the close mics. It is usually placed in a 3:1 ratio and it helps bring a little bit of the room tone in and creates a bit bigger feeling overall. I have never really liked just close mics because it never has the same feel that you get when playing since you are always standing a few feet from the speaker anyway. I found including this distant mic helps to bring some of that feeling back. I have used a large diaphragm condensor for this since it will be a little bit more accurate then a dynamic which is nice for getting some of the room too.
One of my teachers also showed me that you can place a stereo delay on a recorded stereo guitar track from two close mics. You then put a slightly longer delay on one side, like 10 or 20ms or somewhere in there, and it helps to create a slightly fatter tone as the delay tricks your ear into thinking the sound is spread out a bit more.

This sucks - I'm north on I5 in Tacoma, so let me know if I can help. Our guitarist recently had his pedal board stolen, he posted a reward on Craig's List and it turned up a couple of weeks later. The thief had traded it for a tattoo (!), the tattoo shop saw the reward ad and got it back to him.... but there does some to be quite the Meth Head community in SW Washington too... don't know if I"m helping at all.

i was a strung out contractor for a good while
and ive shown up to jobs
completely dopesick
and besides the occasional pawn of my own tools
which was always a regretable experience
i managed never to steal another mans tools in my life
even during a 6 month crack binge not a one
i had a bout of sobriety
after a tiny bit of jail time
and decided at that point never to go back in
or to hurt anyone ever again
not sayin everyones as lucky as i am
and follow some twisted moral code
so my addiction wouldnt be interupted ever again
but stealin a dudes tools cause you aint got no job
potentially puts him in your broke ass situation
ive had dudes i hired to help them out
steal shit from me while workin for me
and ask for an advance the same day
it is the scumbaggiest thing
a man could do to another man
may their crackpipes explode in their mouths
as they light the hit you unknowingly paid for

Parker may be against this based on principle, which is understandable, but I'd still get behind this. Like, WAY behind.
