hurrrrrrm. that might work too. it's not that i wouldn't want to be able to put any pedals after loops, i just want to have a MAIN loop that i'd dump most effects into, and a bypass loop that i could nest inside the MAIN loop so i could go from Everything On (without what's in the bypass loop), Everything On (with what's in the bypass loop) and skip everything to go clean into amp.
does that make sense?

That's a rather complicated setup just to be able to go to clean tone with one button. If that's really essential for some perverted reason you just need a bigger looper, to fit in E, with a master bypass switch.

at some point it'd make sense for me to get a loop send like that rather than the A/B looper i have now, because i've got so much shit that i really don't want to have my signal running through everything all the time if i can help it. i need to split things up into at least three sections because there's the main board, the secondary board with the delay/loopers, and the rack with the Yamahas...to say that the SPX90 is noisy is like saying that Congress is crooked, so i always keep the rack on a separate send/return i can toggle on/off. but now that i need to turn the looper board on/off, i'm stuck with the main board and its sixteen boxes nomming my frequencies all the time. thus, my current desire for a treble booster to use with guitar.

I have a 5 channel looper sitting around ready to go. I STILL haven't bought a cable making kit so I can incorporate it. I also still haven't bought a better power supply for my board. I just bought an amp, and am making a three way trade/buy for an awesome bass (Jwar, you rule), I have a hard time throwing down a couple hundred dollars on these.

Again, not knocking it, but with the right settings on the Ashly preamp and Mesa 400, it gets that same dark character but much fuller. The Elements going into it is so fucking hawt. I'm pretty sure the Swell I ordered (another overpriced one at $380 after shipping) is obsolete before it even gets to me. Kinda sucks. I was hot on that thing when I had that eden head but I just don't need it, now. The funny thing is I was about to flip the Elements when I had a SS head but it is a demigod into this Mesa.
The PPB from Behnder slayed at practice. It sounds 10x better in a band setting than solo. Fucking rocks. Not as smooth as I need for the original songs but I need that sound for a few covers. I'll try a Megalith at some point and see if it can cover both sounds I need, and if not, probably go with a PPB and another not yet found fuzz.
Dude you are making me want to cry. So much none love for the B3K and now the Swell. It is you kind sir who made me want a Swell, and you are saying hurtful words with your potty mouth like "obsolete". Must I remind you that I am a highly emotional person? MUST I?????
For real though. It's awesome if you can grab all those sounds from your head and not have to have 600-700 bucks worth of pedals to get that tone. That's actually really awesome. That way you can buy more awesome fuzz or filters or what not. You know that Swell will sell.
I have high hopes for the Eden tube head Mr.Sexy Delta man is sending my way. It's my first tube amp for bass. YEA! I said I never would but then back pedaled. God the internet makes me a liar so often. hahaha.
I am ditching my Pitchfactor as well for a Brown Dog (since my TAFM is gone

I hate me so much right now), and a Prometheus DLX (I hate Excane for this one...son of a bitch with his awesome demos making me want every pedal in existence!!!).

Totally LURVED my sound at my gig Saturday night. It was my first gig out with the Bugera and mic'd up instead of going DI out of my Genz Benz. I had 4 different people tell me how good the bass sounded during breaks and shit. Fuck yeah!
Also, finally got my power supply and 10 feet of Mogami cable in so I can re-wire up my new board.

Maybe after I get bored with it in exactly 1 week, I'll ship it your way so you can give it a whirl.

That would rule!

I'd know in 2 days or less if I like it.
That's about how long my original Prometheus lasted that's why I haven't bought the Deluxe!

I can answer for JWAR.
I am sending him a 06 Warwick Corvette that has an ACG/East EQ 02 preamp (filter based preamp) and EMG JX pickups and a 4 month old Bongo 5 HH Stealth,

Yeah. My Eden head was a Nemesis. Bottom of the line Eden. No tubes, whatsoever. You'll get a better tone out of what Delts is sending.
But, I know, man. I started that whole Swell thing over there and now I'm bailing (maybe, there's still an A/B battle to be had). But it was all about emulating that tube sound while preserving the hi-fi sound that I prefer. That Mesa's a good little mix of both. But you never know. There's still a battle to be had.
And that $700 I'm flipping off my board will be replaced by $250 tube changes every year or two.
I'm might be feeling one more big fuzz purchase coming in for a Megalith if the Swell does not make the cut.
behndy wrote:yah. the PPB is my "huh. i SHOULD be cutting through more right now" go to click on Anger Bastard. so good. i think with a Heavy Machine, TAFM and PPB i have more than i really need for live stuff. super happy with thems.
glad you're digging Pied Pickle. what do you think about the others?
I find them on the "fun" side. Neither one do that gritty sound that I prefer (at least in the way I prefer) or the smoother character that would fit with my band. But they ARE pretty fun to play around with. The Second Voice kinda blows them out of the water, though. I think I'd have a lot more fun with them if it weren't for already having one of them. The Four Eyed is a pretty hard pedal to dial in. Might actually take the place of the Xero D as "hardest pedal to get a usable sound out of" in my experience (limited). Kinda hurts to say because the Unpleasant Surprise was so good. The Exar doesn't compare to the things I've been playing with, lately, but at the price range it's at, it's one of the best pedals.
Was gonna give them all another run through, tonight, to get some final thoughts and then get them out of this heat and back to cool Cali.
