Anyone have experience with the Eastwood Sidejack VI? The vintage cream looks real nice, only $800 with case. Wondering about the pickups, bridge, etc...

Is a Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI $450 better than the Squier Bass VI? Seems like most people in this thread bought a Squier and upgraded it. Wonder how many upgrades the Fender PS would need.

I haven't really needed to upgrade my pawnshop vi, it plays and sounds great to me. All it needed was a heavier set of strings. Ended up turning the bridge backwards too and that greatly increased tuning stability with the trem arm.

You would just have to fill the current tuner holes, redrill, and get a new bridge.

Adding some octave strings to that would be cool and less work on the mod.

I bought a used one from Reverb

Super fun. With a treble booster it sounds like a grandfather clock or something. Real weird. I think it's going to kill my Pro Jr. It also smells like it's been up the Marlboro Mans asshole for the past 50 years. Gonna repaint it.

Thanks. It's a regular 25" 6-string and the a bass VI (30") but a 12-string but I've been playing it like a 9-string instead.

Not too difficult I reckon, but I doubt you'd like it a lot, what with the short neck and the bridge towards the arse end. I know I wouldn't.
