Heading to dentist. Have to make up the time to work. Blargh. Stupidest things have happened to the tooth:
originally, it had a cavity, and it was mended wrong - I was being told afterwards - after loosing the filling in a friendly brawl at dojo.

Yeah, small annoyances. Wait, it gets better. Worse. Whatever.
Later on I lost the filling AGAIN when I was, years ago, hit in the face in a brief but heated exchange of opinions over sharing a cab with unknown goons one fine Saturday night. Not so friendly this time, the frustrated, drunk teen surprised me through the open cab window, but I got quickly upper hand when off the seat belts and gave them lecture on not attacking strangers while blocking the hits and kicks like a pro. The other guy was captured by the police on the spot, but was released, the one who actually got the hit in managed to escape them. Lucky bastard. Emergency personnel couldn't have given a shit about me when I was, after all, standing on my own feet and looking like the tough guy of the day with just a little bleeding. And so the police report stated no real damages to me, case closed, dirty hippie takes a shower and off he goes to dentist with his own money. Lucky me I chose not to risk being sued for kicking some asses in public, the police would have probably pressed charges on me!
THEN, after a few years, the tooth all in sudden DIED from having been - later, in close inspection by a different dentist - nearly knocked off the roots when in fight and eventually having moved and off because of eating. So, let's check the insurances and file a complaint and all that, and off to enjoy some of my all time favorites: having some serious root canal plumbing done, yee-fukken-haa

But the tooth was as good as new, once again. At least it looked like that, after having looked like a meth junkie for some months when waiting for the docs appointment.
AND NOW a few months ago my daughter accidentally chipped it in half when I was dressing her up to go sleigh riding. Imagine how happy I felt. There was absolutely nothing that could be done for the tooth, but make up a cosmetic filling and learning not to eat anything too solid with the frontal teeth.
SO, today going to have it checked and starting to save money.
